Everthing you should know on Merino Wool

Bonnetier uses an innovative spinning system that is the true strength of each garment. This unique wiring system leads to a product that is 15% stronger, 30% more elastic and 20% softer traditional merino wool clothing.

The fabric used in Bonnetier's merinos wool collections is highly breathable and does not retain odours. It adapts to body temperature keeping warm in cold weather and cool by wicking moisture in hot weather.

No need to wash the clothes Bonnetier merino wool every time you wear them. The wool we use is self-cleaning, so unless you have spilled spaghetti sauce on your clothes, you just suspend for aerating overnight and odors will be gone by morning.

A merinos shirt from Bonnetier will biodegrade within 9 months so it won't leave a trace 100 years after you stop wearing it.

That's an obvious one that merinos wool is renewable. It grows on sheep and our sheep are just living like they did a 1000 years ago, free on the land. They eat the grass around them and that's about it.

An ethical product from beginning to end

Respect for human, animals and the land we all live on is essential for us. We guarantee among others things that there is no harm done to the animals and that the production process of our fabrics and garments maintains high ethical standards.

Our merino wool collections are designed in Montréal and manufacture by small producer in and around the city. This ensure a high quality product and reduce our footprint as products don't have to travel from foreign countries.
